On World Teachers’ Day, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan honored educators for their pivotal role in shaping the future of the nation. Sheikh Mohamed shared a nostalgic photograph from 1971, featuring a 10-year-old version of himself alongside a thank-you note he wrote to his teacher, Ahmad Ibrahim Mandi. He emphasized the enduring influence of educators on students and the broader community.
Complementing the President’s tribute, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, lauded teachers for their critical contribution to developing the country’s human capital and for molding future generations. The sentiments were echoed by Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who highlighted the crucial role of education in the UAE’s progress, noting that teachers are instrumental in fostering knowledge, confidence, and ambition among the youth.
Further underscoring the importance of educators, Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan acknowledged the significant part teachers play in the UAE’s development by promoting knowledge and preparing the next generation of leaders.
