The United Arab Emirates has initiated a national campaign calling on citizens and residents to express their allegiance and support for President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This initiative seeks to acknowledge his role in enhancing the nation’s security, stability, and global influence. Unveiled by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, the “Pledge and Commitment” campaign was launched during a significant event at the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, attracting over 4,800 attendees, including citizens, residents, students, investors, academics, and business leaders.
Designed to emphasize the President’s efforts in national development, the campaign is anchored on four primary principles: fostering unity and coexistence, drawing inspiration from leadership values, enhancing civic responsibility and national identity, and expressing gratitude for the country’s prosperity and stability. The initiative has been extended to an online platform through a designated website and QR code, enabling widespread participation across the UAE. Organizers plan to sustain the campaign through collaborations with companies, universities, and community organizations, complemented by multilingual online interactions and public events.
The campaign’s launch comes on the heels of a period marked by national solidarity following regional security challenges earlier this year. In response to Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s call to celebrate national resilience and unity, displays of patriotism have surged, with UAE flags prominently displayed at homes, offices, and public buildings across the country.
Central to the campaign is the pledge of loyalty and support for President Sheikh Mohamed, who is depicted as a guardian of the nation’s security, a promoter of progress, and a paragon of dedication and service to the country. Those who participate in the pledge online receive a digital certificate of appreciation, which can be downloaded and shared, further encouraging widespread engagement and participation.
