The Indian diplomatic missions in the United Arab Emirates have revamped their system for handling passport, visa, and attestation services. This new approach allows applicants to schedule appointments directly via an official online portal, eliminating any booking fees in the process.
Both the Embassy of India in Abu Dhabi and the Consulate General of India in Dubai are now directly managing consular services from their premises. This update is aimed at streamlining the application procedure, enhancing process efficiency, and curbing unauthorized service charges.
Authorities emphasize that the official online portal is the sole method for booking appointments related to passport, visa, and attestation services. It is advised that applicants should refrain from making any payments to individuals, agencies, or intermediaries that claim to offer appointment bookings or expedited services on behalf of the Indian missions.
The missions have issued a warning against any organizations or representatives purporting to be officially authorized to provide these appointment services. Those who feel they have been deceived, overcharged, or misrepresented are encouraged to report their experiences through the official contact channels of the Embassy or Consulate.
Indian nationals residing in the UAE, as well as travelers, are urged to depend solely on official communications and verified platforms for any information about consular services. This approach is designed to protect them from fraud and unnecessary expenses.
