The United Arab Emirates is bracing for a mix of weather conditions with rain, strong winds, and dust expected to affect various parts of the country. On Wednesday, wind speeds could reach up to 50 km/h in inland and mountainous areas, accompanied by temperatures soaring to 41°C in these regions. Dust may also reduce visibility in some locations as a result of these conditions.
Weather forecasts indicate fair to partly cloudy skies, with the development of convective clouds over eastern areas. These clouds are expected to spread to inland and western regions during the afternoon, potentially bringing rain as low-pressure systems influence the area. Winds will predominantly blow from the southeast to northeast at 10–25 km/h but could intensify during cloud formation. Coastal areas might experience winds reaching up to 35 km/h. Temperature predictions range between 35°C and 41°C inland, 34°C and 38°C along the coast, and 26°C and 32°C in mountainous regions.
Humidity levels are projected to rise overnight into Thursday morning, potentially reaching 90% in certain areas, which could lead to mist or fog, particularly in coastal and inland locations. Sea conditions are expected to remain slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Sea of Oman.
As the week progresses, unsettled weather is expected to continue. Thursday could see further cloud development in eastern and western parts of the UAE, with another chance of rain and winds reaching 40 km/h, accompanied by occasional blowing dust. By Friday, partly cloudy conditions are anticipated, with potential afternoon rain in eastern areas. Increasing humidity could result in fog or mist overnight and early on Saturday.
A gradual decline in temperatures is expected over the weekend. Saturday may bring convective clouds over eastern and northern regions, while Sunday is forecast to remain generally fair to partly cloudy. Humid conditions are likely to persist overnight into Monday morning, creating additional possibilities of fog or mist.
The forecast suggests that Wednesday and Thursday present the highest likelihood of rainfall, followed by more settled conditions, cooler temperatures, and recurring fog or mist risks over the weekend.
