The United Arab Emirates is set to experience an increase in temperatures along with humid nights during the Eid Al Adha festivities, as per the forecast from the National Center of Meteorology. Throughout the holiday week, the weather is predicted to remain largely fair to partly cloudy, with a steady rise in temperature as the summer season approaches.
Sunday may bring a slight dip in temperatures, accompanied by the potential for fog or mist in some western and coastal areas during the night and early morning. However, with the commencement of the Eid break for government employees on Monday, warmer conditions are expected to return. During this period, temperatures could peak at around 43°C in Al Ain and 41°C in Fujairah, with light to moderate winds occasionally reaching up to 35 km/h.
Humidity is anticipated to rise during the nights and early mornings, particularly in coastal regions, adding to the sultry weather. In contrast, the sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea are likely to remain calm, providing some respite for those near the coastline.
This increase in temperature marks the gradual transition into the UAE’s summer season, following a relatively mild spring. In recent weeks, several areas have already experienced temperatures surpassing 40°C, highlighting the country’s shift towards hotter months.
While the northern hemisphere officially welcomes summer on June 21, the UAE is already gearing up for the season’s typical heat, which is becoming evident through these rising temperatures.
