As the new academic year begins in the United Arab Emirates, President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has expressed his support for over 1.2 million students returning to their classrooms. In a special audio message, the president emphasized the crucial role young people play in shaping the future of the nation. He congratulated not only the students but also the teachers, school administrators, and parents, urging everyone involved to prioritize continuous learning. The president highlighted the importance of developing future-ready skills and encouraged the productive use of artificial intelligence and technology in education.
Sheikh Mohamed also stressed the significance of collaboration between parents and teachers. He called for a joint effort to foster creativity, promote lifelong learning, and instill a robust sense of national identity and values among students. His message arrives at a pivotal time, as the country recovers from the disruptions experienced in the previous school year.
The UAE’s education sector is seeing a significant number of public and private schools—more than 1,180—opening their doors to students once again. This year also marks the introduction of several new schools, reflecting the country’s commitment to expanding and enhancing its educational landscape.
In a similar vein, Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, extended his welcome to the students embarking on their academic journey.
