Moreover, those engaged in the production, sale, or distribution of piracy devices might face even harsher consequences, with fines reaching up to Dh700,000 and possible jail sentences.
In a recent operation, Dubai Police apprehended a group suspected of breaching encrypted TV channels and unlawfully retransmitting World Cup matches through various websites and streaming gadgets.
